Back at the shelter, the mama cat was on the mend. After an urgent exam, it was thankfully determined she had no broken bones, but she was stiff and badly shaken from the shock.
Relieved that the mama cat would be able to care for her six kittens, the rescuers brought the family to a special refuge until they were ready for forever homes. The kitten who had taken shelter under the falcon’s wing was found completely healthy after a veterinary check and quickly found a warm, safe foster home.
This moving story brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful for these dedicated rescuers and happy that all the animals made it through this disaster alive!
