The Heartbreaking Reality of Animal Shelters
We often hear sad stories about pets being left behind by their owners. It’s a shocking number: Every year, around 6.5 million pets end up in shelters in the USA, and half of those are dogs. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), these animals are often abandoned as if they were unwanted objects.

Fortunately, some of these animals find new families, but only 50% get a chance for a second life. The other half remain in shelters, often confined to cages that are way too small and without the care they desperately need. These dogs depend on love and exercise and could truly bring happiness to a new family.
