Despite everything he had been through, Vinny â named after the one-eared painter Vincent van Gogh â quickly settled into his new home with Colin and Liz.
Over the next six weeks, Vinny charmed his foster parents with his sweet and loving personality. On New Yearâs Eve 2019, the couple officially adopted him. âVinny was just such a social and affectionate little guy that we knew he belonged with us,â Colin remembers.
In the following five months, Vinny thrived. Even though he looks a bit different from other pets, missing an ear doesnât affect his quality of life. Colin explains: âCats who are missing something like an ear or an eye usually arenât significantly impacted.â
Vinny is an incredibly happy and active eight-month-old kitten. He loves playing with leaves, napping on blankets, climbing his cat tree, and relaxing on his familyâs balcony.
